LETTERS FROM BOBOLINK FARM
By Barbara Tatham Johnson

MIFF 2004 DAY TWO

Photography by Clif Graves

Maine Film maker Huey introduces the 27th Annual Maine Student Film and Video Festival films.

The most important room in the house. The small projection room at the Waterville Opera House, where from controlled chaos and clutter, our stars and film magic are served up.

While the Opera House provides a large comfortable venue, it lacks the substance necessary for serious film watching, POPCORN! Fortunately at Railroad Square, the popcorn is popping.

Producer Ted Hope introduces The Door in the Floor and shares some background on the making of the film.

After the last showing at the Opera House, one of the many public receptions provide a needed chance to stand, eat, drink, and talk about the days films.

NEW BOOKS FROM OUR CONTRIBUTORS

Editor’s note: With the fall 2008 issue of the journal, we will be starting a new feature where we highlight new books written by some of our contributors. We encourage readers, whenever possible, to buy these books for their own personal libraries, as gifts for family and friends, and perhaps even for their town libraries.
