Well, it is almost over. The last day. The last movies. The
wrap-up of MIFF 2006
As a result of the new approach to scheduling and ticketing, this years MIFF
had far fewer waiting lines and crowded lobbies. The closing night events at
the Opera House brought us back to that old MIFF crunch.
Following closing remarks by festival director Shannon Haines, Festival
programmers Alan Sanborn and Ken Eisen, Governor Baldacci and Richard Russo,
the audience was treated to an early screening of the new film written
by Richard Russo, Keeping Mum.
