PHOTOS FROM
MAINE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (MIFF) 2006 DAY FIVE
Photography by Clif Graves
A 'funny' thing happened to us on the way to the theatre,
we got caught up in an tornado. Getting from Winthrop to Waterville is
not generally a problem and Maine doesn't generally have tornados. On this
day we went down not one but two roads where we had to backtrack to avoid
power lines down over the road. We drove on and wondered if we would find a
gas station which had power before we ran out of gas. But in
Waterville the movies went on and weather didn't look that bad.

I love night photos and long exposures. This last shot is a long exposure
taken outside Railroad Square after dark. Due to the long exposure the lines
of movie goers are a ghostly march.
